The Town of East Bloomfield’s main focus is to make sure the general public is well taken care by providing the necessary Town Clerk’s services to address their needs. The Town Clerk’s office is the doorway to local government and is usually the first contact the public makes with the town and is a major source of information.
- Is informative and compassionate to the needs of the residents of the Town of East Bloomfield.
- Keeps the only office records of activities of Town Government.
- Is the custodian of all Town records and administrator of the Freedom of Information Law.
- Maintains official records of adopted Town laws, oaths of office, fiscal reports, etc.
- Is the Licensing Officer - conservation, dog, marriage, Boughton Park passes and handicap parking permits.
- Acts as registrar for birth and death certificates.
- Coordinates all Town and general elections.
- Is responsible for the Town’s records management program.
- Facilitates Dog Enumeration every 5 years. Next one is in spring 2016..
In order to obtain a marriage license you need the following items:
- A form of ID.
- Any or all divorce papers.
- If your spouse has passed away, a copy of the death certificate.
Residents must have the license 24 hours before the wedding and it is good for 60 days. The cost is $40.00 cash or check.
In order to obtain a Boughton Park pass, you must live in or own property in the Towns of East Bloomfield, West Bloomfield or Victor. New as of July 2005: You must also bring in your vehicle’s registration.
In order to obtain a dog license, you need a neutered or spayed certificate and a copy of a current rabies certificate. The cost is $16.00 for a neutered or spayed dog and $25.00 for a dog that is not neutered or spayed.
